The University of Zimbabwe College of Health Sciences Clinical Trials Research Centre (UZCHS-CTRC,) in partnership with CONRAD (www.conrad.org) through the USAID-funded NIX HIV cooperative agreement (AID-OAA-A-17-00014,) hosted a regional conference, Innovation in HIV Prevention Research Workshop, on the 21-22nd of August 2019 at the Cresta Lodge, Harare, Zimbabwe. As part of the research program, NIX HIV aims to address significant gaps in the field of HIV prevention. Through the multiple capacity building activities that span the NIX HIV program, sustainable research networks will be facilitated in Southern Africa to foster and strengthen existing research capacity in this region by providing new tools which will help elevate young investigators. The conference was attended by young investigators and facilitators from Lesotho, Malawi, South Africa, Uganda, USA, Zambia and Zimbabweable platform in HIV prevention field.
